Responsibilities for the Project Engineer
Assist the PM with estimating procuring managing & negotiating equipment and labor contracts for substation & transmission line EPC projects
Assist the PM with the oversight of EPC projects
Help expedite PO's T&M tracking cost tracking forecasting scoping etc
Involved in cost schedule and procurement activities
Develop and maintain effective vendor and client relationships
Work in the office 90% and the field 10% of the time
Requirements for the Project Manager
0 years of engineering and/or construction experience on heavy industrial EPC projects (power plant refinery substation etc )
You either need experience as an Engineer Assistant Project Manager or Jr Project Manager supporting some sort of heavy industrial type EPC project
The ideal candidate is somone that has 0 years of experience as a Substation Design Engineer and who is ready to move into a project management type role
Any specific experience on high voltage substation or transmission line projects is considered a BIG PLUS
BS degree in Engineering (BSEE ideal) or Construction Management preferred
Ability to bid and manage equipment and labor contracts
Experience working for a consulting engineering firm would be a plus
Previous experience working for or on projects with PSEG is preferred
